Springer PTA supports our entire community and we need our entire community's support!
The Springer PTA asks families to donate at least $400 per student to help reach our annual goals. A contribution of $85 funds the purchase of school supplies for your student. Every dollar donated goes to directly support your student and Springer community events.
Please consider contributing what you can - every dollar matters and no amount is too small.

School Funding Explained in Short
California property taxes are assessed at the time a property is sold and not reassessed as property value rises. This was established by California Prop 13 election over 40 years ago. As time has passed and more of your neighbors have owned their homes for decades, the small portion of property tax collected has become substantially less than schools like LASD require to provide the exceptional well rounded education for which LASD strives. We are in the top 1% of schools in the state and want to stay that way! The Los Alto Educational Foundation was established to fill this funding gap. Federal & state funds directly provided to the Los Altos School District (LASD) are supplemented by a partnership in community fundraising by the Springer Parent Teacher Association (PTA) AND the Los Altos Educational Foundation (LAEF). Consider the example of a school library, LASD provides the building; LAEF funds the Librarian; PTA supplies the books. Learn more here or by watching this video and, as always, contact Springer principal Sarah March or our PTA President with questions.
Los Altos Educational Foundation (LAEF)
Your donation to LAEF helps LASD deliver a high quality, well-rounded learning experience for all TK-8 students by funding teachers and staff for programs like STEM, Wellness, Literacy, and Arts at all nine LASD schools.
Your donations are more important now than ever before. District and State funding alone are increasingly unable to provide the kind of educational opportunities that our community values and our children deserve.
We thank you for your generosity ensuring all Springer students continue to receive the best educational opportunities available and the Springer community continues to thrive.
